Events

Portales MainStreet hosts and participates in a variety of events throughout the year.

Yam Music Series - Every 3rd Thursday of the month, Portales MainStreet host a band at the Yam Theatre. Each month the bdans differ in genre from bluegrass, to a nationally known Trop Rock Band, to Christen Rock. Come visit us at 7 pm every 3rd Thursday to see what we have to offer to you.

Fifth Friday is an event started by Portales Arts Council in 2011 and is now under MainStreet's wing. Fifth Friday promotes the arts in Portales by teaming a business in the downtown with an artist. The art varies from visual artist, bands, even mimes! This is a great night for the family to come out and enjoy the wondering art here on the high plain
