The Portales MainStreet Program is a non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization working toward the revitalization and rejuvenation of the downtown Portales district. This program's efforts, since its inception, have been crucial to this mission. The board of directors consists of volunteer community members that have a passion for this mission. This organization would not exist without the many volunteer hours and talents that are contributed to the organization by both board and community members. This generosity and support are much appreciated. The Portales MainStreet Program is funded by a blend of funding sources. By diversifying the organization's funding, the program will be financially stable and able to continue operations.

FUNDING SOURCES
The Portales MainStreet Program is currently funded by various private and public grants, private donations, public contributions, in-kind contributions, and various fundraising activities and events. Currently, the program does not offer membership with the perception that all businesses and organization located within the downtown district boundaries are the members the organization works to promote.

Portales MainStreet Program fundraisers include both those that are project specific and those that contribute to the program's operation budget for sustainability.

Donations to the Portales MainStreet Program are tax-deductible (consult your tax advisor). The MainStreet Program will immediately put your contribution to work in support of the downtown community. The program needs someone with your unique qualities and experiences. There are a variety of challenging and interesting volunteer opportunities for every single community member that would like to contribute his/her time and effort toward this worthwhile organization.
